ARTISTS IN THE SCHOOLS

A Special School Grant Application

Update: This grant is now closed and will re-open on August 1, 2010.

Planting Seeds of Knowledge (SEEDS) is a grant program for schools and other community groups to work with qualified Native Artists in interactive and engaging residencies, workshops and performances. Our Artists are trained to work in educational settings with teachers and students, integrating curriculum, creativity, and culture.

If you are a school or not for profit community organization, you may apply for a SEEDS grant that covers up to 100% of the Artist fees, with the school covering mileage, lodging, and some art supplies. It is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to bring great Native Artists into your school for meaningful residencies, workshops and performances.

Funding is available on a first come, first served basis until funds are depleted. Fund cycle begins August 1 and ends June 30. Organizations may apply for 100% of the Artist fees. Mileage, lodging and some supplies are the responsibility of the applying organization. Each school may apply for a total of $3,000 in Artist fees. Funding may only be used to pay for Native Artists within the SEEDS program. Scroll down for grant application:
